Upper Elementary - Jordan Hosp

Today we went to the farm.  First we talked a lot.  We talked about the new rules.  These are the new rules:
1. Respect environment
2. Please walk
3. Practice the Golden Rule
4. 10 Finger Rule
5. Come prepared
6. Listen carefully
7. Ask questions
8. Stay safe and have fun
Those were all the rules.  Then we went out and collected the eggs.  We collected 9 eggs.  Then we counted all the eggs people have collected recently.  We had 65!  Then we picked the jobs for the growth rate.  I was the constant.  I would put the flag on the tallest okra.  The tallest was 15 2/1" tall.  The jobs were meteorologist 1 and 2 constant, tallest, calculator and composter 1 and 2.  Then we went back.

Today we wrote down rules and put down names on the board if we were going to water, feed or collect eggs and hay.  There are different kinds of eggs that Farmer Mark showed us.  We had a tour and we saw flowers and vegetables and we saw the chickens.  There were all different sizes of chickens and we put water in their containers and filled them up with water with the hose and then we went back to the farm and we ran out of time.  So we went back to class.
