Today at farm class we did chicken care. I was in the straw group. Then we dug
some weeds out of the beds. Me and Mrs. Chava worked as a great team. Their was
one that was very hard to get out of the ground. But we got it out. We didn’t eat are
snack at the barn because it was to cold. We had them in the classroom today.

On my imaginary Enchanted Forest Island there are four human villages. The
merchant village, the sailing village, the mining village, and the farming village.
When I’m at the farm, I always imagine I’m at the farming village. It makes farm
class a lot more interesting.
First thing, we did our jobs. My job is calculator, so I weeded the bed with Carina
and Trevor. Today, we weeded in the half of the bed that we don’t weed in very
often. There were huge weeds and small plants. Then, we went back to the farm
and gave Jahquan all the information so he could write it down.
After that, we all got assigned farm chores. Jordan shook the dirt off the pulled-up
and hauled them away. Carina and Alex planted trees. Trevor watered some plants.
Jahquan and I planted cabbages. After a little while, Trevor started helping us, too.
There was a kill deer in one of the beds that screamed at Jahquan when he came too
close.
After we were finished, we helped Jordan a little bit. After that, it was time to go.

When we went to the farm on Thursday we went to a special farm cald the down
town Farm. We went first on a tour of the farm and we saw the green house, the
compost pile, and had a snack and played around. I had a good time hanging out
with my group and hope we go again. My driver was very nice to me and my
friends. I am happy I went.

Today at farm Upper Elementary learned Binomial Nomenclature. It was tough but it had to be done. We learned Plant Classification. Oh and we only focused on this: Kingdom, Division, Class, Family, Genus and Species. We also got to break down and describe the plants and we had to write a summary with that. But this is the list we had to pick from: Elephant garlic, blueberries, apple trees, thyme, mint and rosemary.
