Destin - lower elementary
The first thing we did when we got to the farm was chicken care at the chicken coop. Then we came back to the barn and we decided who got which baby chicken. Emma and I are sharing a chicken. It is brown and it reminds me of homemade brownies. It's name is Zdenka. After choosing our chickens we came back to school.
Heather - upper elementary
Today we went to the barn. It was really foggy and we brought the compost this week. Jordan was the leader. We saw the little chicks and got to pick out which one to adopt. Since there wasn't enough for every single one of us, the upper elementary and the lower elementary could pick the same ones. Jahquan, Jordan and I got fluffy, owl spotted ones. Their names are, in the same order, Tortor, Princess Owlfeather and Azalea. Andrew got the tiniest one and named her Chipmunk because she looks like one. Trevor got the black one and named it Harriet. Carina got a red one and named her Fluffy. Alex got a big yellow one and named her Alexandra after himself.
